Pinterest is launching an apprenticeship program for aspiring product designers from non-traditional backgrounds. Whether you’re self-taught, a design bootcamp graduate, or transitioning from another field, this is a chance to gain hands-on experience, grow with the support of experienced mentors, and work on real product design challenges at scale.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with Pinterest designers and cross-functional teams, including Research, Product Management, and Engineering
- Contribute to a real, high-impact design project from concept to delivery
- Work closely with an assigned mentor to learn the expectations of a Product Designer at Pinterest
- Take part in learning and development opportunities throughout the program
Who this is for
- You don’t need a degree in design or previous experience in a product design role
- You’re motivated, proactive, and curious about what it’s like to work in product design at a tech company
- You have at least one year of experience working and communicating in a professional environment (any industry)
- You are not currently enrolled in a university program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD)
- You are legally authorized to work full-time in the United States
- You are available to work during standard business hours
- You have basic proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, or Illustrator
Salary
Monthly salary range: $8,100 – $9,500 (based on experience and location)
