Stripe is looking for a Designer to join its Web Presence & Platform team, working on some of the most visible experiences across Stripe's global website.
This role combines high-level visual craft, digital storytelling and systems thinking. You'll help shape how potential customers understand Stripe's products through landing pages, industry experiences, solution pages and other key areas of stripe.com.
The work goes beyond making polished pages. Stripe wants a designer who can turn complex products into clear stories while building reusable patterns that allow those experiences to scale across a large website.
What you'll work on
As part of the Presence team, you'll collaborate with Engineering, Product Marketing, Content Design and other designers to create and improve Stripe's public-facing web experiences.
Your work will include:
- Designing product, industry and solution landing pages
- Improving existing experiences across stripe.com
- Translating complex products into clear visual stories
- Exploring concepts alongside engineers and content teams
- Creating reusable patterns for different pages and audiences
- Contributing to Stripe's broader web design systems
- Using research, testing and data to inform design decisions
- Iterating on experiences based on user and business outcomes
- Participating in design critiques and collaborative feedback
- Maintaining a very high level of visual quality through production
You'll need to balance storytelling and usability, creating experiences that are visually distinctive while remaining clear, credible and easy to navigate.
Designing systems, not just pages
A significant part of this position involves working within component-based and modular web systems.
Stripe is looking for someone comfortable using Figma to create experiences that can scale across a large CMS-driven website rather than designing every page independently.
That means thinking carefully about components, layout, typography, hierarchy, interaction and reusable patterns while maintaining a consistently high visual standard.
Want to strengthen your advanced Figma skills?
Designlab's Advanced Figma training is designed for working designers who want to develop stronger workflows around components, Auto Layout, prototyping and scalable design systems.

You should have approximately 2–4 years of relevant design experience, ideally involving web design, digital products or product marketing.
Stripe is looking for:
- A strong portfolio of web design work
- Excellent visual design skills
- Strong understanding of layout and composition
- Typography and hierarchy expertise
- Strong interaction design fundamentals
- Systems thinking and attention to detail
- Confidence working in Figma
- Experience with component-based design
- Experience working with CMS-driven websites
- Familiarity with modular web systems
- Ability to independently lead small to medium-sized projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience that could help you stand out
Candidates don't need to be front-end developers, but understanding how designs move from Figma into production will be valuable.
Additional relevant experience includes:
- Familiarity with front-end development workflows
- Working closely with engineers
- Web accessibility
- Website performance
- SEO fundamentals
- Designing for international audiences
- Multilingual websites
- Fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Craft with measurable impact
Stripe places significant emphasis on visual quality, but this isn't purely an aesthetic design position.
You'll use user research, testing and data to understand whether experiences are actually working. The goal is to create pages that communicate Stripe's products effectively and ultimately help turn visitor interest into action.
That combination of craft and measurable business impact is central to the Presence team's work.
Portfolio
A strong portfolio is essential for this position.
The most relevant case studies will demonstrate exceptional web and visual design, but Stripe will also be looking for evidence of systems thinking, component-based design and meticulous attention to detail.
Projects involving large websites, modular systems, CMS-driven experiences or close collaboration with engineering teams should be particularly relevant.
