This job is curated by UX Remote Talent from external sources. We are not affiliated with the employer.

Pomelo is looking for an experienced E-Commerce UI/UX Designer to create websites and high-converting landing pages for US-based e-commerce brands.

This role combines strong visual craft with UX thinking and commercial performance. You'll take projects from early concepts and research through wireframes, polished interfaces and prototypes, while working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.

What you'll be designing

You'll own the UI/UX process across e-commerce website and landing page projects, with responsibility for both the quality of the experience and its ability to support business goals.

Your work will include:

  • Designing e-commerce websites and conversion-focused landing pages.
  • Taking projects from initial concepts through to final high-fidelity designs.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes and detailed UI designs in Figma.
  • Using research, interviews and usability testing to guide design decisions.
  • Iterating based on user insights, stakeholder feedback and testing results.
  • Presenting and defending design decisions directly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the design process.
  • Maintaining and evolving design systems, style guides and reusable UI patterns.
  • Ensuring projects meet both quality standards and delivery deadlines.

What they're looking for

Pomelo is looking for a designer who can combine strong execution with independence and confident communication.

You should have:

  • 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, specifically working with e-commerce or DTC brands.
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma and modern UI/UX practices.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and collaboration tools such as Asana and Slack.
  • Strong understanding of user research and usability testing.
  • The ability to take initiative and provide clear reasoning behind your design decisions.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Professional-level written and spoken English.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A reliable computer and high-speed internet connection.

Communication is a major part of the role

This isn't a position where you'll simply receive briefs and hand over designs.

You'll be working closely with clients — including directly with the CEO — and presenting your thinking throughout the design process. Pomelo therefore places particular importance on clear communication, proactive leadership and the ability to confidently defend design choices.

E-commerce experience matters

Previous experience designing for e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands is an important requirement.

You'll need to understand how UX, visual hierarchy and interaction design can contribute not only to usability but also to commercial outcomes across product pages, websites and landing pages.

Working hours

Although the position is remote, you'll need to work US Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, eight hours per day.

Pomelo is also specifically looking for candidates who have previous experience working overnight or graveyard-shift schedules.

Benefits

The position includes:

  • Compensation paid in US dollars.
  • Fully remote work.
  • Health and wellness benefits.
  • Paid holidays and time off.
  • Performance and referral bonuses.
  • Exposure to international brands and companies.
