French Linguistic AI Evaluator

OpenTrain AI is looking for a French Linguistic AI Evaluator to help improve how large language models understand and generate French.

You'll review AI-generated content across tasks including translation, summarization, dialogue and grammar correction, identifying language problems and refining responses so they sound accurate, natural and appropriate for French-speaking users.

This is a fully remote opportunity open worldwide, paying $50 per hour with an expected commitment of at least 20 hours per week.

Bring Your French Expertise to AI

The focus of this role isn't programming or building machine-learning systems.

Instead, OpenTrain is looking for someone with a sophisticated understanding of French who can recognize when AI-generated language works — and when it doesn't.

You'll examine everything from grammar and syntax to tone, meaning and cultural context, using your linguistic expertise to provide the human feedback needed to improve model performance.

What You'll Work On

Your work will cover several types of French-language AI output.

You'll be responsible for:

• Reviewing AI-generated French translations.
• Assessing summaries for accuracy, clarity and natural language.
• Evaluating dialogue and conversational responses.
• Checking grammar-correction outputs.
• Editing or rewriting content when improvements are needed.
• Identifying grammatical and syntactic errors.
• Analyzing semantic accuracy and intended meaning.
• Annotating French text for relevant linguistic characteristics.
• Detecting unnatural or awkward phrasing.
• Identifying recurring language gaps in model responses.
• Providing detailed feedback explaining model errors.
• Applying consistent linguistic standards across different tasks.

What OpenTrain Is Looking For

You'll need native or near-native French fluency together with professional experience working with language.

Relevant backgrounds include:

• Translation.
• Editing and proofreading.
• Linguistic annotation.
• NLP data work.
• Language quality evaluation.
• Other professional French-language work involving detailed linguistic analysis.

A strong academic understanding of French alone isn't enough — you should be comfortable making nuanced judgments about how the language is actually used.
