Pixion Games is looking for an experienced Game Designer to help shape Fableborne, a competitive free-to-play mobile game that combines action RPG combat with base-building strategy.
You'll play a key role in defining player progression, game economy, monetization, and live operations, helping create engaging experiences that keep players coming back season after season.
What you'll do
As a Game Designer, you'll work closely with Product, Combat Design, and development teams to design systems that drive long-term player engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing progression systems, gameplay loops, and player journeys.
- Balancing the in-game economy, rewards, and monetization features.
- Planning and improving seasonal live operations.
- Creating and refining progression, retention, and engagement mechanics.
- Testing and balancing features directly inside Unity.
- Using player feedback and game data to improve systems over time.
- Collaborating on pricing strategies, virtual items, and in-game offers.
- Working with cross-functional teams to prioritize new features and roadmap initiatives.
What they're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience designing mobile free-to-play games, preferably midcore titles.
- Strong knowledge of progression systems, game economies, and live operations.
- Experience balancing monetization while maintaining a rewarding player experience.
- Confidence working with player analytics, KPIs, and experimentation.
- Experience shipping and supporting at least one live mobile game.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
- Curiosity about AI-powered workflows and emerging technologies.
