Design e-commerce creative built to convert
Talent Hackers is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to create high-performing visual assets for direct-to-consumer brands selling physical products online.
This is a role for a designer who understands that great e-commerce design needs to do more than look polished. Every product image, landing page section, ad and promotional graphic needs to communicate value quickly and help move customers toward a purchase.
You'll work across Shopify, Amazon, paid advertising, email and social, with a particular focus on health, beauty, supplements and other consumer products.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll design across the customer journey, from the first ad someone sees through to the product page where they decide whether to buy.
Your work will include:
- Creating paid social ads, promotional graphics, email assets and digital banners.
- Designing complete Amazon product listing image sets.
- Building Amazon A+ Content and enhanced product modules.
- Creating product infographics, ingredient breakdowns, comparison graphics and trust-focused visuals.
- Designing Shopify hero sections and Product Detail Page (PDP) graphics.
- Creating bundle offers and promotional graphics such as multi-buy campaigns.
- Designing mobile-first e-commerce layouts.
- Producing multiple creative variations to test different headlines, hooks, layouts and product angles.
- Refining messaging and visual hierarchy to make product benefits easier to understand.
- Maintaining a consistent visual identity across advertising, marketplaces and storefronts.
Design for Performance
This isn't purely a brand or visual design position.
You'll work closely with growth and marketing teams to create assets designed around measurable commercial outcomes.
That means experimenting frequently. A single campaign might involve testing different product imagery, headlines, promotional messages, layouts or visual hooks to understand which approach performs best.
You'll need to balance strong visual craft with conversion thinking, without sacrificing the quality of the brand.
Build Systems That Help the Team Move Faster
Part of the role involves creating reusable frameworks rather than designing every asset from scratch.
You'll maintain and expand Figma components, Shopify and Amazon templates, and reusable asset systems that allow the team to produce new creative efficiently while maintaining consistency.
You'll also manage brand assets and guidelines across multiple channels and projects.
What They're Looking For
Talent Hackers is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or growth-focused design, ideally working with DTC physical-product brands or growth agencies.
Your portfolio should demonstrate hands-on experience with areas such as:
- Shopify storefronts and product pages.
- Amazon listings and A+ Content.
- Paid social advertising.
- Physical consumer products.
- Conversion-focused e-commerce campaigns.
Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite is expected.
You'll also need excellent fundamentals across typography, composition, colour, visual hierarchy and layout, particularly when presenting physical products digitally.
Copy and Design Work Together
You'll frequently need to communicate product benefits within a very limited amount of space.
That means understanding how to structure concise headlines, benefit statements, promotional offers, trust signals and calls to action — and how to use hierarchy to make the most important information immediately visible.
Strong professional English and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders are important.
You'll also need to be available to work full-time EST hours.
AI and Additional Skills
Experience incorporating AI into your creative process is a plus.
Talent Hackers specifically mentions tools such as Claude, Midjourney and Photoshop Generative Fill for tasks including creative exploration, background generation, image adjustments and copy ideation.
Additional experience with Shopify page builders such as Shogun, GemPages or Rebuy, basic motion design, GIF creation, or building lightweight design systems would also be valuable.
Thinking About Moving From Graphic Design Into UX/UI?
Your graphic design experience can provide a strong visual foundation for UX/UI — particularly your understanding of typography, hierarchy, composition and communication.
But making the transition into UX requires additional skills such as user research, interaction design, information architecture, prototyping and product thinking, alongside a portfolio that demonstrates how you solve user problems rather than only the final visual execution.
UX Academy provides a structured path for designers looking to build those skills, work with a mentor and develop portfolio projects as they move toward UX/UI design.
