Design for the place where brands have seconds to get noticed
Likeable is building a freelance pool of Graphic Designers who understand that designing for social media is its own kind of creative challenge.
One project might involve a quick image retouch. The next could be an animated social asset or a larger campaign that needs to carry a brand's visual identity across several platforms.
The common thread is creating work that looks great while still serving a clear marketing objective.
What you'll be creating
You'll work with Likeable's creative team to take projects from initial concepts through final production.
Depending on the assignment, that could mean:
- Designing visual assets for social campaigns and branded content.
- Adapting established brand identities for different digital formats.
- Creating graphics for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X.
- Retouching and refining existing creative assets.
- Adding animation, transitions, typography, movement, and music to existing artwork.
- Developing visual concepts that balance client objectives with strong creative execution.
- Taking feedback from the team or client and translating it into meaningful design improvements.
- Preparing finished creative work for production and publication.
You'll need more than static design skills
Likeable is looking for someone with 2–5 years of graphic design or related professional experience and a portfolio that demonstrates range.
You'll need strong fundamentals in typography, composition, color, photography, and layout, together with an understanding of how those principles change when you're designing for fast-moving social platforms.
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects is important.
Basic motion skills are also part of the role. You should be comfortable taking existing artwork and bringing it to life through animation, movement, transitions, text, and audio.
Social-first thinking matters
A beautiful design isn't necessarily a successful social asset.
Likeable wants designers who understand how different platforms behave and can preserve a brand's identity while adapting creative work to the way people actually consume content on each one.
You'll need to be comfortable working quickly, handling feedback, staying organized, and collaborating with other creatives without losing the quality of the final work.
How the freelance opportunity works
This isn't presented as a single fixed project with a defined start and end date.
Likeable is inviting freelance designers to join its creative talent pool. When short-term design support is needed, this pool is one of the first places the company looks for available talent.
A portfolio is important and should include relevant examples of graphic design, social media creative, and motion work.
For a designer who enjoys moving between static design, animation, and social content rather than working on one product or medium all day, this could be a useful freelance opportunity.
