Superhuman is looking for a Senior Interaction Designer to define and evolve the motion language across its AI-powered productivity platform. You'll design thoughtful animations, micro-interactions, and product experiences that make complex workflows feel intuitive while strengthening the company's visual identity.
Working closely with Product, Brand, and Engineering teams, you'll help shape how millions of users experience motion across Superhuman's suite of AI products.
What You'll Do
- Design high-quality micro-interactions, transitions, and UI animations.
- Create motion systems for onboarding, feature launches, loading states, and product experiences.
- Prototype interaction concepts using modern motion and AI-powered design tools.
- Build reusable motion guidelines and animation components for designers and engineers.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure smooth implementation using web animation technologies.
- Explore new interaction concepts that improve usability and product delight.
- Mentor designers and help establish best practices for motion design across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in Motion Design, Interaction Design, or Product Animation.
- Outstanding portfolio showcasing UI animation, interaction design, and digital storytelling.
- Expert knowledge of After Effects.
- Experience with motion and prototyping tools such as Rive, Framer, Principle, Runway, or Weave.
- Advanced Figma skills, including interactive prototyping and Smart Animate.
- Understanding of implementation technologies including Lottie, CSS animations, and React-based animation libraries.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to motion detail, timing, and interaction quality.
Nice to Have
- Experience with 3D tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, or Spline.
- UX prototyping and interaction design background.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted workflows into the design process.
