Splice is looking for a Freelance Video Editor to create polished, long-form YouTube content for its music-focused audience.

This role sits at the intersection of video editing, storytelling and music production. You'll combine multicamera footage, high-resolution screen recordings and carefully produced audio into engaging videos designed to keep viewers watching.

For editors who already understand music production or regularly work with DAWs, this is an especially relevant opportunity.

What You’ll Be Working On

You'll turn raw footage and recordings into finished long-form YouTube videos, with particular attention to pacing, audio quality and audience retention.

Your work will include:

  • Editing long-form content specifically for YouTube
  • Syncing and cutting footage from one or two camera angles
  • Integrating separate high-resolution screen recordings
  • Creating smooth transitions between camera and screen content
  • Cleaning and balancing dialogue
  • Using music and sound to strengthen pacing and engagement
  • Structuring edits around storytelling and viewer retention
  • Taking projects from raw footage through polished final delivery

Because Splice serves music creators, audio isn't simply a finishing touch. An understanding of music production can play an important role in how you shape each edit.

What Splice Is Looking For

You should bring:

  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience
  • Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
  • Proven experience editing long-form YouTube content
  • A strong understanding of pacing and visual storytelling
  • Experience working with multicamera footage
  • Confidence combining camera footage with screen recordings
  • Strong audio editing and balancing skills
  • An understanding of what keeps viewers engaged in longer YouTube videos

A background in music production or experience working with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) is highly preferred.

Experience with Blender for 3D elements, animation or typography is an additional advantage.
