Upwork, the world’s largest online work marketplace, is looking for a Lead Product Designer to help shape the experience for millions of users. You’ll work on core workflows that connect clients and talent—designing intuitive, impactful solutions for both sides of the platform.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead end-to-end design projects, from research and concept through launch and iteration.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to define and deliver user-centered solutions.
- Use data, user feedback, and rapid prototyping to refine workflows and test new ideas.
- Explore AI-powered capabilities and intelligent automation to enhance the platform.
- Mentor other designers and contribute to a strong design culture.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience designing complex, multi-step workflows.
- Brings an experimentation mindset—comfortable with A/B testing, research, and iteration.
- Has a strong portfolio showing interaction, visual, and UX design across web and mobile.
- Communicates well and influences product strategy through design.
- Is experienced with Figma and familiar with AI design tools.
Compensation: $151,500–$215,500 USD per year + benefits, bonus plan, and equity program.
