The Role
Join Kraken’s Onchain team — a fast-moving, high-impact group creating the next generation of decentralized products. You’ll help shape and launch new experiences that bridge centralized and decentralized finance, setting new design standards for the crypto industry.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design for new Onchain product initiatives from concept to launch.
- Create visually rich, user-centered experiences across mobile and web.
- Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to deliver exceptional results.
- Translate business goals and user insights into intuitive product flows.
- Track design performance, iterate based on data, and elevate the visual and interaction quality of the product.
- Stay ahead of crypto and DeFi design trends to inform the team’s creative direction.
- Participate in design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
What You Bring
- Proven experience designing and shipping 0→1 products, ideally in crypto, DeFi, or financial tech.
- Deep understanding of Ethereum, decentralized workflows, and trading platforms (spot, perps, derivatives, etc.).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex product design across mobile and web.
- Skilled at solving UX challenges, prototyping quickly, and validating with data.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to advocate for design decisions.
- Experience mentoring others and contributing to a high-performance design culture.
