Product Designer

Virtusan is looking for an experienced Product Designer to help shape a digital platform focused on longevity, health data and long-term behaviour change.

This isn't a role centered on polishing existing screens. You'll have significant ownership over the product experience—from identifying opportunities and researching users to creating new concepts, validating them through prototypes and working with Engineering to get them shipped.

The challenge is particularly interesting: turning complex biometric and health data into understandable, motivating experiences that can influence what users do every day.

What you'll own

You'll work across the complete product design process, with considerable independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating new product concepts from the ground up
• Designing end-to-end journeys around health and biometric data
• Turning complex information into useful daily guidance
• Designing experiences that encourage sustainable behaviour change
• Running interviews, usability testing, diary studies and other research
• Combining qualitative research with quantitative product signals
• Prototyping and validating ideas before committing to full production
• Maintaining consistent components and interaction patterns
• Partnering closely with Product and Engineering through implementation
• Defining success metrics and evaluating designs after launch

Virtusan wants someone who thinks beyond usability and asks whether a feature actually changes behaviour or helps users accomplish something meaningful.

Fast prototyping — including AI — is part of the workflow

Virtusan expects designers to prototype quickly using Figma or Claude Design and specifically asks for experience using AI tools to accelerate the broader design process.

The goal isn't simply to use AI for the sake of it. You'll be expected to use faster workflows to explore concepts, test assumptions and discard weak ideas before significant development time is invested.

What Virtusan is looking for

You'll need around 6–7 years of Product Design or UX experience, with a portfolio demonstrating genuine end-to-end ownership.

Strong candidates should have:

• Extensive mobile product design experience
• Strong knowledge of iOS patterns and mobile constraints
• Expert-level Figma skills
• Strong user research capabilities
• Experience creating and validating original product concepts
• Confidence building lightweight prototypes early in the process
• Ability to make decisions independently and explain the reasoning behind them
• Understanding of behavioural design and habit formation
• Strong written English and UX writing skills

Your portfolio should demonstrate the journey behind the work—not simply finished interfaces.

Experience that could make you stand out

Virtusan is particularly interested in designers who have previously worked with:

• Health, wellness or longevity products
• Data-heavy digital products
• Data visualization
• Consumer/B2C experiences
• Behaviour-change products

German fluency would also be advantageous.

Designing for behaviour change

A significant part of this position is understanding why people adopt—or abandon—new behaviours.

You'll need to think about motivation, habits and product engagement while designing experiences that make complex health information actionable rather than overwhelming.

This means success won't be measured purely by whether an interface ships. Virtusan expects the designer to establish metrics, test assumptions and continue improving experiences based on what actually happens after release.

Location

This is a remote position for candidates working within EU/UK-compatible time zones.

Virtusan explicitly states that applications from candidates based in Asia or the Americas won't be considered for this position.
