Isla is looking for a mid-level Product Designer to help shape the next stage of its healthcare platform, working across complex clinical workflows and patient-facing experiences.
This is an end-to-end product design role with a particularly strong emphasis on UI quality, design systems, accessibility and AI-enabled design workflows.
You'll work closely with Product, Engineering and Clinical Safety, helping Isla scale its product without allowing increasing complexity to compromise the user experience.
What you'll work on
You'll own design problems from early discovery through implementation and iteration, ensuring that user needs remain represented throughout the development process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing complex clinical and patient-facing experiences
- Moving from early flows and wireframes through polished UI
- Producing implementation-ready designs for Engineering
- Identifying friction and inconsistencies across the existing product
- Simplifying complex workflows
- Improving UX and UI quality across the platform
- Working closely with engineers on Isla's design system
- Building accessible and inclusive experiences
- Applying systems thinking across a complex, multi-user product
- Helping improve design processes as the company grows
Because Isla operates in healthcare, you'll also collaborate with its Clinical Safety Officer, adding another dimension to the usual Product, Design and Engineering relationship.
AI is becoming part of the design workflow
AI isn't simply listed as a nice-to-have for this position.
Isla wants its new Product Designer to experiment with AI tools within the design workflow and identify practical ways they can improve speed, quality and collaboration.
You'll also work with Engineering to evolve a design system that Isla describes as usable, accessible and AI-ready.
That makes the role particularly relevant for designers interested in how AI is changing both day-to-day design work and the systems behind digital products.

Hiring process
The process is conducted virtually and consists of four stages:
- A short video introduction / elevator pitch
- A 15-minute screening call with the Operations team
- A 45-minute interview with the Product Design Lead and a Senior Software Engineer
- A 30-minute final interview with the Director of Product and CTO/Co-founder

Location and salary
This is a full-time remote position for candidates in Ireland, with an advertised salary of €53,000–€68,000.
