Product Designer

BetterMe is looking for an experienced Product Designer to help evolve digital health and fitness products used by a global audience.

This role combines product thinking, UX research and strong visual craft. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering to explore new ideas, validate them with users and turn them into polished mobile experiences. There's also an opportunity to bring AI-assisted design workflows into the process, with experience using tools such as Claude and Figma MCP considered a plus.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll explore product opportunities and turn hypotheses into thoughtful, high-quality user experiences across BetterMe's Health & Fitness apps.

Your work will include:

• Developing and testing product and design hypotheses.
• Designing polished interfaces for an international user base.
• Creating prototypes for complex user journeys and product interactions.
• Planning and conducting user research to better understand user needs.
• Using motion and animation to make experiences clearer and more engaging.
• Presenting concepts, rationale and design decisions to the wider team.
• Working closely with Product and Engineering from early exploration through implementation.
• Contributing ideas for improving existing products and developing new experiences.
• Producing detailed design specifications and assets that support development.

What BetterMe Is Looking For

You should have 4+ years of Product Design or closely related experience, combining strong UX thinking with a high level of visual design craft.

The role requires:

• Strong UI and UX design skills grounded in user-centered design.
• Experience designing and prototyping sophisticated mobile experiences.
• Good knowledge of iOS and Material Design patterns and guidelines.
• Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
• Experience establishing and running user research activities.
• An understanding of motion and animation principles and how they can improve usability.
• Experience preparing design assets, animations and implementation specifications.
• Confidence communicating design decisions and collaborating with developers.
• A practical understanding of how mobile products move through the development process.

AI Design Experience Is a Plus

BetterMe is particularly interested in designers who have experimented with newer AI-assisted workflows.

Experience with Claude and Figma MCP would be valuable, as would hands-on experience using AI image-generation tools as part of the creative or product design process.
