Stripe is looking for an experienced Product Designer to help make international commerce easier for businesses expanding across borders.

Working within Stripe’s Global design team, you’ll design experiences that help companies operate across different markets, currencies, languages, payment methods and regulatory environments. The role spans both the Stripe Dashboard and checkout experiences, with a particular focus on creating products that can scale globally while still feeling intuitive in individual markets.

What you'll be working on

You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Strategy to define and design new product experiences from early concepts through to launch.

Your work will include:

  • Exploring user workflows and identifying friction in complex global payment experiences.
  • Designing and iterating on new features across Stripe’s Dashboard and checkout surfaces.
  • Creating high-fidelity prototypes for research, testing and internal communication.
  • Helping localize product experiences for priority markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
  • Conducting user research to validate design decisions before products ship.
  • Working across Stripe teams to create consistent experiences throughout the Dashboard.
  • Contributing to Stripe’s design system by using and improving shared components and templates.
  • Helping shape how Stripe’s products evolve as commerce becomes increasingly global and AI-driven.

What Stripe is looking for

You should have:

  • 6+ years of relevant product design experience, ideally within a product-led technology company.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent product and interaction design craft.
  • Experience creating high-fidelity prototypes using current AI tools.
  • A track record of working closely with engineering teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas through design work, video and written documentation.

Experience that would stand out

Stripe is particularly interested in designers who have worked on growth and user activation, although this isn't required.

You’ll also be well suited to the role if you enjoy simplifying complicated systems, can build strong relationships across multiple teams and are comfortable bringing a clear design perspective to strategic product decisions.

Why this role is interesting

This is a particularly strong opportunity for designers interested in the intersection of global products, fintech and AI-assisted product design.

Stripe’s Global team tackles unusually complex design problems: a product experience may need to work across dozens of currencies, languages and regulatory environments while remaining simple for the businesses using it.

The role also explicitly calls for experience using AI tools for high-fidelity prototyping, making AI fluency a relevant part of the design skill set rather than simply a nice-to-have.

Build stronger AI prototyping skills

This Stripe role specifically asks for designers who can create high-fidelity prototypes using the latest AI tools.

Designlab’s AI Product Design Certification is designed for working product and UX designers who want practical experience using AI across product design and prototyping workflows.
