Figma is looking for a technically minded Product Designer to help shape how design, code, and AI-powered workflows come together across its platform.
You'll work on complex product challenges involving production code, design systems, developer workflows, and AI — exploring better ways for teams to move between design and code while extending Figma's AI capabilities into the tools developers already use.
This is a full-time position available remotely within the UK or from Figma's London hub.
What You'll Do
- Design and prototype workflows connecting design with production code.
- Explore AI-powered experiences across Figma and developer tools.
- Take product design projects from early discovery through launch.
- Create user flows, prototypes, interactions, and high-fidelity UI.
- Help shape product strategy and identify new product opportunities.
- Work closely with engineering, product, research, UX writing, and data science.
- Design and ship improvements across Figma's core product experiences.
- Participate in critiques, mentor peers, and contribute to Figma's wider design culture.
What They're Looking For
- 3+ years designing UX/UI for complex software products.
- Strong visual craft across typography, layout, interaction, and composition.
- Excellent prototyping skills and attention to detail.
- Experience independently owning the end-to-end design process.
- Ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
- Strong design rationale and user-centered thinking.
- Experience with technically complex products, ideally developer tools or extensible platforms.
- Understanding of software development workflows, APIs, and systems.
Experience designing AI-powered or nondeterministic interactions is particularly relevant.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Advanced knowledge of Figma features including Auto Layout, Variables, and Components.
- Experience with APIs, CLIs, MCP, model evaluations, or other developer/AI tooling.
- Experience designing canvas-based creative products.
- Experience creating or maintaining design systems.
