Blackthorn is looking for a Product Designer to help improve user experience across a suite of web and mobile applications used by event planners and organizations around the world. If you’re passionate about consistent design systems, love working in cross-functional teams, and have a solid eye for usability, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll do
- Lead the development of a cohesive design system across our digital products
- Bring consistency to our interfaces across Angular, Ionic, and Salesforce-native apps
- Design and refine user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA to bring ideas to life
- Own the UX of our Salesforce applications using the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)
- Ensure designs are accessible, responsive, and visually aligned with our brand
- Support improvements to our main company website with a user-first mindset
- Maintain high standards of usability, clarity, and system thinking across all screens
- Advocate for UX best practices and support a user-centered culture across teams
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of UX/UI experience, ideally within SaaS or B2B products
- Strong skills with Figma or similar design/prototyping tools
- Comfortable working within Angular and Ionic frameworks (or open to learning)
- Interest or experience designing in the Salesforce ecosystem (SLDS knowledge a plus)
- Experience creating or maintaining scalable design systems
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, keyboard nav, color contrast, etc.)
- Great communication skills in a remote-first environment
- Ability to adapt to technical constraints and work across multiple platforms
Bonus experience
- Background with Salesforce or other enterprise platforms
- Experience redesigning or improving company websites
- Familiarity with user research or data-informed design
- Interest in higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit tools
- Curiosity about new AI design tools
