Design a trading product where clarity and trust matter at a glance
Jito Foundation is looking for a Product Designer to focus primarily on JTX, its self-custodial trading app built on Solana.
The product is already live, native mobile apps are in development, and the team has reached product-market fit. That means this isn’t a role where you’ll spend months debating hypothetical concepts. You’ll be expected to make decisions, ship, observe how people actually use the product, and improve it quickly.
The challenge is particularly interesting: JTX needs to feel fast, clear, and trustworthy in an environment where users may be making decisions under pressure.
What you'll be designing
You'll work across both web and native mobile, owning product design from early problem definition through polished UI.
Your work will include:
- Designing trading flows across web and mobile.
- Improving order entry, market data, charts, positions, and execution visibility.
- Designing onboarding and wallet-related experiences.
- Turning complex trading information into interfaces that are easy to scan and understand quickly.
- Taking features from problem framing through UX and final visual execution.
- Maintaining consistency between web and mobile experiences.
- Owning and evolving the design system and token library used by engineering.
- Supporting landing pages, launch materials, and social assets when marketing design is needed.
- Contributing to other Jito products when priorities shift.
- Reviewing real usage after launch and iterating based on what you learn.
Product judgment matters more than decoration
Jito is looking for someone who can explain why a design decision is right, not simply make something look polished.
You should be able to look at a dense interface and identify where hierarchy, clarity, or information structure is breaking down — then explain how to improve it.
Because the team is small, you'll also need to operate across research, UX, UI, and systems work rather than staying inside one narrow specialty.
What they're looking for
Strong candidates will bring:
- Excellent product thinking.
- Strong UX and visual design fundamentals.
- The ability to design complex, information-dense interfaces.
- Experience taking ownership from research and problem definition through final UI.
- Confidence making independent decisions without requiring constant approval.
- Strong collaboration with Product and Engineering.
- Clear, proactive communication.
- Comfort giving and receiving direct design feedback.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma.
- Experience working with token-based design systems.
Trading or fintech experience is a plus
You don't need to come from crypto, but relevant experience can make you particularly strong for the role.
Jito is interested in designers who have worked with:
- Consumer crypto or fintech products.
- Trading platforms, brokerages, or exchanges.
- Consumer financial apps at scale.
- Data-heavy dashboards or analytics products.
- Real-time data visualization.
- Self-custodial wallets.
- Solana or EVM products.
- Token-based design systems.
Hands-on trading experience is also considered valuable because it can help you understand how users interpret information and make decisions in real time.
Small team, high ownership
The team operates with a high level of autonomy.
You'll be expected to involve Product and Engineering when decisions genuinely need shared input, while moving independently on the ones that don't.
Critique is designed to be fast and specific, and the expectation is that design quality improves through direct feedback rather than long approval cycles.
About JTX
JTX is a self-custodial trading product running on market infrastructure built by the Jito team on Solana.
The current focus is on making the experience not only functional, but immediately understandable and trustworthy across both web and upcoming native mobile products.
For a Product Designer who enjoys fintech, crypto, real-time interfaces, and complex product systems, this is a role with unusually broad ownership and a lot of room to influence the product.
