Our client is developing an online platform that helps individuals prepare legal documents for eviction, debt collection, and foreclosure cases—without the need to hire a lawyer. The tool guides users through step-by-step questionnaires, reviews documents internally, and securely delivers them via the cloud.
We’re currently building the beta version and are looking for a part-time Product Designer to shape both the user experience and interface design.
Role overview
This is a short-term, focused design sprint (approximately 80 hours over 4–5 weeks), perfect for freelancers or designers with flexible schedules. You’ll design intuitive, accessible, and responsive experiences for:

What you’ll do
- Create wireframes, user flows, and responsive UI for the MVP.
- Transform complex legal processes into easy-to-follow user journeys.
- Build a Figma-based design system and deliver developer-ready assets.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams for smooth handoff.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and are easy to use for all audiences.
- Document key design choices for future reference.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience in product or UX/UI design.
- Strong portfolio with examples of web app flows, form design, and responsive layouts.
- Experience designing for users with low-to-moderate digital literacy.
- Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent design tools).
- Clear communication in English and ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- Background in legal tech, fintech, or public service platforms.
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
Contract details
- Part-time (~80 hours total), from now until mid-September.
- 100% remote.
- Flexible hours (some overlap with EST preferred).
- Competitive hourly rate.
