Bask Health is looking for a Product Researcher to help uncover the problems worth solving across its telehealth platform and turn user evidence into better product decisions.

Rather than treating research as a final validation step, this role is embedded throughout product development. You'll work alongside Product, Design and Engineering to understand what should be built, why it matters and whether the experience actually improved after launch.

Bask Health builds infrastructure for digital healthcare businesses, covering areas including patient onboarding, clinical workflows, prescriptions, payments, subscriptions, fulfillment and ongoing care.

Research that influences product strategy

You'll investigate the needs and behaviours of several different groups across the telehealth ecosystem, including healthcare businesses, operators, providers and patients.

Your work will involve:

  • Identifying high-value product questions before solutions are defined
  • Conducting user interviews and contextual research
  • Running usability and concept testing
  • Designing surveys and lightweight experiments
  • Combining qualitative findings with product analytics and behavioural data
  • Analysing customer conversations and support feedback
  • Identifying inefficient workflows, unmet needs and emerging behaviours
  • Translating complex findings into actionable product opportunities
  • Evaluating products after launch to understand their actual impact
  • Building ongoing relationships with users rather than researching only around individual projects

Bask is particularly interested in researchers who can choose the right level of research for the uncertainty involved, rather than automatically applying a lengthy research process.

AI-assisted product research

AI is also an explicit part of this position.

You'll explore where AI and automation can improve healthcare workflows, while recognising situations where human judgement and control remain important.

Bask also expects researchers to use AI-assisted workflows to increase the speed and breadth of research and synthesis. That comes with an important requirement: you should be able to critically assess evidence quality, bias, privacy and research validity rather than simply accepting AI-generated output.

What Bask Health is looking for

You should have professional experience in Product Research, UX Research, User Research or a closely related role within a digital product organization.

Bask is particularly interested in candidates who can take an ambiguous product question and independently determine what evidence is needed to answer it.

Relevant experience includes:

  • User interviews
  • Usability testing
  • Contextual inquiry
  • Concept testing
  • Surveys and quantitative research
  • Product analytics and behavioural data
  • Research synthesis
  • Product discovery
  • Post-launch evaluation
  • Working closely with Product and Design teams
  • Communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong analytical and synthesis skills will be important. You'll often need to turn large amounts of imperfect information into a clear explanation of what is happening, why it matters and what the product team should do next.

Experience that could help you stand out

Bask is especially interested in researchers with experience in complex product environments such as:

  • B2B SaaS
  • Healthcare or telehealth
  • Fintech
  • Marketplaces
  • Regulated or privacy-sensitive products
  • Products serving several distinct user groups
  • AI-powered products and automation
  • Human-AI workflows
  • Product analytics
  • Continuous discovery programs
  • Research repositories and research operations

How Bask approaches research

Research at Bask isn't measured by how many reports, personas or journey maps you produce.

Those artifacts are useful when they improve understanding or decision-making, but the bigger objective is reducing uncertainty and changing product decisions based on evidence.

Success means helping teams answer three fundamental questions: whether they're solving a genuine user problem, whether they've chosen the right solution, and whether the experience actually became better after it shipped.

Portfolio / Research work

Your previous work should demonstrate more than research methodology.

Strong examples will show how you took an unclear product problem, selected an appropriate research approach, gathered and synthesised evidence, and ultimately influenced a meaningful product or strategic decision.
