Senior AI Trainer — Robotics Video Annotation

OpenTrain AI is looking for a Senior AI Trainer to help improve how robotics AI systems understand real-world actions.

In this remote contract role, you'll analyze videos of robotic-arm tasks and transform what happens on screen into precise, structured training data. The work requires more than basic labeling: you'll need to identify individual actions, transitions and outcomes, establish accurate timestamps and apply consistent grading standards across complex footage.

The project is expected to run for at least six months, with compensation ranging from $50 to $90 per hour.

What You’ll Be Working On

You'll review robotic-arm footage and create detailed timeline annotations that can be used to train and evaluate AI systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing videos of robotic-arm tasks
• Identifying individual actions, transitions and task outcomes
• Marking precise start and end timestamps
• Creating structured annotations according to project guidelines
• Checking annotations against the original footage for accuracy
• Finding and correcting inconsistencies
• Working with frame-level and timecode-based segmentation
• Submitting completed datasets through annotation platforms
• Helping refine annotation and grading guidelines
• Participating in ongoing quality reviews
• Making judgment calls when footage or annotation cases are ambiguous
• Providing regular progress updates while working independently

Accuracy and consistency will be particularly important, as the resulting data contributes directly to how AI systems learn to interpret robotic activity.

This is an expert-level position, so previous experience with AI training, robotics or detailed annotation workflows is particularly valuable.

Previous hands-on robotics experience is strongly preferred.
