Shape visual stories that make personal finance easier to understand
Wealthfront is looking for a Senior Designer – Editorial & Creative to lead the visual direction of its editorial content program, creating compelling graphics and visual storytelling that help people better understand investing, the economy, and personal finance.
Working closely with editorial and marketing teams, you'll transform complex financial topics into engaging visual experiences across digital, social, and multimedia channels.
What you'll do
As part of Wealthfront's Creative team, you'll help define how editorial content comes to life through thoughtful design and storytelling.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing editorial visuals, illustrations, charts, and image compositions for weekly content.
- Developing creative concepts from early drafts through final delivery.
- Translating complex financial topics into clear, engaging visual narratives.
- Creating assets for web, social media, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborating with writers, marketers, and fellow designers throughout the creative process.
- Exploring multiple creative directions and iterating based on feedback.
- Maintaining brand consistency while expanding the company's visual language.
- Sharing design expertise and helping elevate creative quality across the team.
What they're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in visual design within an agency, studio, or in-house creative team.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating editorial design, digital storytelling, and creative execution.
- Excellent skills in layout, typography, color, and visual composition.
- Experience designing for digital, social, and multi-channel campaigns.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- The ability to simplify complex ideas through compelling visual design.
- A passion for experimentation and creative problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Experience working alongside editorial or content teams.
- Motion design skills using After Effects or similar tools.
- Illustration or drawing experience.
- Familiarity with AI-powered creative workflows.
- Interest or experience in personal finance, investing, or economics.
