Senior Presentation Designer — Keynotes & Events

Article Group is looking for a Senior Presentation Designer to create high-profile keynote presentations and event experiences for major technology brands and executive speakers.

This is a senior freelance opportunity for a designer who combines strong visual storytelling with exceptional PowerPoint craft. You'll take presentations from early creative direction through polished final delivery, working closely with clients, designers and animators throughout the process.

The work spans executive keynotes, large-scale technology events, data visualization, technical diagrams and animated presentation sequences.

What You'll Be Working On

Article Group partners with product marketing teams at major technology companies as well as startups and growing businesses. Its keynote practice has produced presentation work for brands including AWS, AIG and CrowdStrike.

As part of the team, you'll help turn complex ideas into presentations that are visually compelling, easy to understand and effective on stage.

You'll be expected to:

• Establish visual direction and styling for keynote presentations.
• Design sophisticated slides from a blank canvas.
• Transform complex information into clear visual narratives.
• Create data visualizations, technical diagrams and conceptual graphics.
• Develop storyboards for animated presentation sequences.
• Produce and refine PowerPoint animations.
• Ensure final presentation assets meet the required technical specifications.
• Work within established client brand systems while finding opportunities for creative expression.
• Review work for visual and technical quality before delivery.
• Collaborate with other presentation designers, graphic designers and motion specialists.

Working Directly With Clients

This isn't a production-only design position.

You'll frequently work 1:1 with client stakeholders, including senior executives and keynote speakers, and become an embedded creative partner during presentation development.

That means being comfortable explaining the thinking behind your work, responding to feedback in real time and quickly turning conversations into better creative solutions.

You may also need to iterate on slides during live working sessions, so both speed and confidence in PowerPoint are important.

Design & Creative Tools

Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills are essential for this position.

Article Group is also looking for experience with:

• Adobe Photoshop.
• Adobe Illustrator.
• Apple Keynote.
• Google Slides.
• Figma.

Experience with After Effects and Media Encoder is useful but not required.

Familiarity with emerging AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, Claude or Gemini is considered an additional advantage.

What You'll Need

You should have:

• 4+ years of professional design experience.
• At least 2 years specifically in Presentation Design.
• A portfolio featuring keynote presentations and work created for large-scale events.
• Experience supporting live events onsite as a Presentation Designer.
• Expert-level PowerPoint skills.
• Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Figma, Keynote and Google Slides.
• Experience collaborating with designers and motion designers.
• The ability to provide useful, actionable creative feedback.
• Strong visual judgment and the ability to design quickly under pressure.

Article Group is particularly interested in designers who can remain confident when circumstances change during live production and take ownership of finding a solution.

Freelance & Remote Setup

This is a freelance, project-based contract rather than a fixed-hours full-time position.

Hours will vary according to client projects and event schedules. Most work can be completed remotely, although travel is required for selected onsite events and rehearsals.

The role is best suited to an experienced Presentation Designer who enjoys combining independent creative ownership with close client collaboration.
