Help simplify one of the most complex parts of running a business

Mercury is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join its Accounting Integrations team and rethink how businesses manage their financial workflows.

Rather than asking users to juggle banking platforms, accounting software, spreadsheets, and manual processes, Mercury is building tools that make accounting feel more connected, automated, and intuitive. As a Product Designer, you'll help shape that vision from early product strategy through launch.

What you'll do

You'll play a key role in designing experiences that reduce complexity and improve the way businesses handle accounting tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading end-to-end design for Mercury's accounting integrations, from early concepts to production-ready experiences.
  • Designing workflows that make financial operations feel simpler and more intuitive.
  • Exploring new ways to automate repetitive accounting tasks while keeping users informed and in control.
  • Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Data teams to shape product direction.
  • Creating interaction patterns and reusable design solutions that scale across the accounting experience.
  • Helping maintain a high standard of design quality through thoughtful product decisions and strong execution.

What they're looking for

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years of experience designing complex digital products.
  • A systems-thinking approach with the ability to simplify multi-step workflows.
  • Experience leading projects from discovery through launch.
  • Strong product thinking and the confidence to navigate ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A balance of creativity, user empathy, and business understanding.
  • Experience using AI tools to explore ideas and improve the design process while maintaining high-quality craft.

Why join Mercury?

Mercury is building financial tools designed around how modern businesses actually work. Instead of treating accounting as a disconnected task, the team is creating experiences that integrate naturally into day-to-day operations.

If you enjoy tackling complex product challenges and designing software that saves people time while reducing friction, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $189,000–$236,200 USD (United States).
  • CAD $178,600–$223,200 (Canada).
  • Equity as part of the compensation package.
  • Comprehensive benefits.
  • Fully remote across the United States and Canada.
  • Opportunity to help shape one of Mercury's most strategic product areas.
