Senior Product Designer - Accounting Systems

Mercury is looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of AI-powered financial products. You'll play a key role in designing intelligent accounting experiences that simplify complex financial workflows while giving users confidence, transparency, and control.

Working alongside Product, Engineering, Research, and Data teams, you'll design scalable solutions that combine automation with thoughtful user experiences for one of the fastest-growing fintech companies.

What You'll Do

• Design AI-powered experiences for accounting and financial workflows.
• Transform complex technical and regulatory requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Create interaction patterns that balance automation, transparency, and user control.
• Design for edge cases, operational risks, and high-stakes financial scenarios.
• Prototype new product concepts and interaction models.
• Build scalable design solutions for AI-assisted workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Data teams.
• Help define the future direction of Mercury's AI-powered accounting platform.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of Product Design experience.
• Proven experience leading complex end-to-end product design projects.
• Strong systems thinking and workflow design skills.
• Experience designing fintech, AI-powered, data-rich, or enterprise products.
• Ability to simplify complex information into intuitive user experiences.
• Strong prototyping, communication, and collaboration skills.
• High attention to usability, product quality, and interaction design.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and helping shape product strategy.

Salary

• United States: $189,000 – $236,200 USD
• Canada: $178,600 – $223,200 CAD
