Customer.io is looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of complex product experiences from strategy through implementation. You'll own an entire product area, working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to create intuitive, scalable experiences used by thousands of companies worldwide.
This role is ideal for designers who enjoy solving complex UX challenges, contributing to design systems, collaborating throughout implementation, and exploring how AI is reshaping product interactions.
What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end design of a product area, from discovery to production.
- Create user flows, interaction models, and high-quality user interfaces for complex B2B products.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the development process.
- Improve user onboarding, activation, and self-service experiences.
- Contribute to and evolve the company's design system.
- Review implementations to ensure design quality and consistency after launch.
- Prototype and design AI-powered product experiences.
- Mentor other designers through design reviews and collaboration.
- Help shape product strategy by balancing business goals with user needs.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Product Design experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped digital products.
- Experience designing complex B2B SaaS applications.
- Expertise in user flows, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Experience working with Design Systems.
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout implementation.
- Familiarity with AI-powered interfaces or intelligent product experiences.
- Strong communication, presentation, and design critique skills.
- Systems-thinking mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing directly to front-end implementation.
- Knowledge of modern UI development workflows.
- Experience designing data-heavy enterprise products.
- Experience mentoring designers.
- Interest in emerging AI interaction patterns.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $171,000–$193,000 USD (depending on experience and location).
