QBench develops laboratory information management software (LIMS) that helps scientific laboratories streamline complex workflows, improve efficiency, and manage critical operations.

The company is looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design quality across its platform, combining exceptional UI craft, user research, design systems, and AI-powered workflows.

This is an opportunity to take significant ownership of product design within a small, collaborative team.

About the Role

You'll lead end-to-end design initiatives, from product discovery and user research to polished, implementation-ready interfaces.

Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success, you'll help shape intuitive experiences for laboratory managers, quality assurance teams, and scientists.

QBench is particularly interested in designers who already use AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping, and delivery without compromising design quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead UX research, user interviews, and usability testing to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design complex B2B SaaS workflows, from initial concepts to high-fidelity interfaces.
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready Figma designs.
  • Own and evolve the design system, including components, patterns, variables, and tokens.
  • Improve accessibility, usability, visual consistency, and product efficiency.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude, Claude Code, and Figma Make to accelerate design workflows.
  • Build AI-assisted code prototypes to explore realistic product interactions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional Product Design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • Advanced Figma expertise, including Auto Layout, components, variants, variables, tokens, and Dev Mode.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and shipped features.
  • Hands-on experience conducting UX research and usability testing.
  • Experience using AI tools in professional design workflows.
  • Strong visual design, interaction design, and systems thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and asynchronous communication.
  • Availability to work within US-based time zones.

Experience with laboratory software, regulated industries, complex workflows, or design system leadership is a plus.

Salary & Benefits

  • Base salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually.
  • Performance-based bonus.
  • Fully remote working environment.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and leave.
  • Phone and internet reimbursement.
