The Team

Our Product Design team drives the vision and strategy behind every member experience. We’re a diverse group committed to high-quality craft, innovation, and human-centered design. For us, design isn’t just about interfaces — it’s about creating meaningful connections.

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer II to lead design for our Location Experiences team. This team shapes the core of the Life360 map — how members see and interact with their people, pets, and things. You’ll work across mobile platforms to create intuitive, trustworthy, and delightful map experiences that impact millions of users worldwide.

This role is perfect for a systems thinker who can balance big-picture vision with pixel-perfect detail, and who thrives at the intersection of data, design, and human connection.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead design for location-based experiences: Define how members interact with maps, tracking, and safety features.
  • Turn strategy into design: Translate user insights and product goals into elegant, scalable solutions.
  • Prototype and experiment: Explore new map interactions, safety layers, and cross-device experiences using tools like Figma, Cursor, and Xcode.
  • Simplify the complex: Make rich geolocation and contextual data intuitive and easy to use.
  • Scale design systems: Expand our UI frameworks to support map and event-driven experiences.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with product, engineering, research, and brand to deliver cohesive outcomes.
  • Mentor and inspire: Support other designers, foster design culture, and introduce best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years designing consumer mobile products, with experience in map-based or geolocation UX.
  • Portfolio showcasing complex workflows simplified into intuitive solutions.
  • Strong prototyping skills and ability to connect explorations back to scalable systems.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence at senior levels.
  • Systems thinking mindset with proven experience scaling design across platforms.
  • Collaborative, curious, and humble approach to teamwork.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $148,000 – $217,500 USD, depending on skills, experience, and location.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage (100% paid for employees).
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Generous PTO, plus 13 company-wide holidays.
  • Two annual company-wide shutdown weeks (winter + summer).
  • Mental wellness and Employee Assistance Program.
  • Learning & development budget.
  • Home office setup and reimbursement.
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your circle + free Tile products.

Our Values

At Life360, we:

  • Put members first — families and communities guide every decision.
  • Lead with integrity — be a good person, always.
  • Communicate openly — direct feedback with respect.
  • Drive impact — work with urgency and purpose.

We know the best ideas come from different perspectives. That’s why we’re building a culture where everyone — regardless of background, identity, or experience — feels welcome and empowered.

We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. Even if you don’t meet every listed qualification, we’d love to hear from you.
