The Role
Roo is looking for a Senior Product Designer to shape and elevate user experiences across its platform. You’ll design for multiple touchpoints — web, mobile, and responsive applications — and help define how veterinary professionals and hospitals interact through technology.
Working within a small, collaborative design team, you’ll own product design within a squad and partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to drive strategic and user-centered solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver new features and enhancements across Roo’s web and mobile platforms.
- Act as the design lead for a squad, helping to shape product direction and priorities.
- Build and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Lead cross-team design initiatives that align user experience with business strategy.
- Measure design impact through data and user research, iterating to improve outcomes.
- Conduct and analyze user research to guide design decisions.
- Mentor junior designers and help structure their design approach.
- Share insights across teams to strengthen user understanding company-wide.
Qualifications
- 4 to 8 years of experience in product design, with strong UX/UI skills and a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership.
- Skilled in Figma and other standard design tools.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems.
- Strong understanding of user research and data-informed design.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and align design decisions with business goals.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across disciplines and time zones.
Compensation
Salary ranges by state:
- California and New York: $150,000 – $190,000
- Washington: $135,000 – $170,000
- Colorado and Texas: $125,000 – $160,000
- North Carolina: $120,000 – $150,000
