Design an AI-powered health product around the realities of women's lives

MyPattern is building a women's health platform designed to connect information that is often scattered across different doctors, apps, tests, and stages of life.

The product brings together symptoms, lab results, wearable data, medical history, and other signals to help women better understand how their health changes over time. The team is particularly focused on experiences such as perimenopause, fertility, postpartum recovery, PCOS, and other complex health journeys.

They're now looking for a Senior Product Designer who can help turn that complexity into a product that feels clear, useful, and trustworthy.

This is a broad role with significant ownership. You'll be involved not only in designing the interface, but also in research, product direction, interaction models, information architecture, and defining how the overall experience should evolve.

What you'll work on

You'll take ideas from early exploration through to launch, working closely with Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, Marketing, and company leadership.

Your work will include:

  • Defining the UX direction for MyPattern and translating that vision into actual product experiences.
  • Mapping complex health journeys into understandable flows and information structures.
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, interaction models, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.
  • Establishing UI patterns and guidelines that can grow with the product.
  • Exploring how AI-powered features should behave and communicate with users.
  • Using customer feedback, research, market insights, and product data to guide design decisions.
  • Conducting usability testing and helping build a stronger internal research practice.
  • Working directly with Engineering and ML teams to turn product requirements into experiences that can realistically be built.
  • Prioritizing design initiatives and keeping projects moving from concept through implementation.
  • Defining success metrics and using feedback and product performance to improve designs after launch.

The designer they're looking for

MyPattern needs someone comfortable operating in an environment where not everything has already been defined.

You'll need 5+ years of relevant UX or Product Design experience and a portfolio that demonstrates both visual craft and the thinking behind your work.

They're particularly interested in:

  • Strong interaction and user-centered design fundamentals.
  • Experience solving complicated product or workflow problems.
  • Excellent information architecture and UX skills.
  • The ability to move comfortably between early concepts and polished UI.
  • Experience planning or leading user research and usability testing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions to different audiences.
  • Confidence working quickly when requirements are still evolving.
  • A high level of ownership rather than waiting for detailed instructions before moving forward.

Experience designing enterprise applications is considered valuable, although the product itself is focused on consumer healthcare.

Why this role is interesting

There is an unusual combination of challenges here: AI, healthcare, personal data, complex information, and consumer UX.

A successful experience can't simply look polished. Users need to understand what their information means, navigate potentially complicated health histories, and feel confident using the product to make sense of patterns over time.

For a senior designer, that creates plenty of room to influence both the product and the foundations of its design practice while the company is still developing.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this position is $160,000–$175,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, and other relevant factors.

For eligible full-time employees, Red Cell Partners also provides benefits including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families, with premiums paid by the employer.
  • 14 weeks of paid maternity and paternity leave.
  • Unlimited PTO with approval.
  • Professional development and continued learning opportunities.
  • Optional 401(k) and FSA.
  • Potential equity incentives.
  • Additional mental health and wellbeing benefits.
