The Role
The Firefox UX team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to strengthen both the visual identity and interaction patterns of Firefox across platforms. This is a fully remote position where you’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and fellow designers to deliver user experiences that are engaging, consistent, and aligned with Mozilla’s mission.
You’ll help shape the look, feel, and usability of Firefox, ensuring design quality across desktop and mobile while contributing to the evolution of Mozilla’s design systems. The role involves tackling complex, global challenges that impact how millions of people experience the web every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate strategy into user-centered product experiences with strong visual and interaction design.
- Evolve Firefox’s design system, ensuring cross-platform consistency and excellence.
- Deliver production-ready assets, collaborate with engineers, and follow through from design to launch and beyond.
- Share ideas early, give and receive constructive feedback, and contribute to a unified design language.
- Use research insights and usability testing to refine solutions and solve user problems.
- Champion inclusive and accessible design practices.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in product/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing strong visual design, system-level thinking, and polished user experiences.
- Expertise in layout, typography, color, accessibility, and cross-platform UI design.
- Experience working in agile teams and shipping products across desktop and mobile.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and making decisions with competing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on open-source or mission-driven projects.
- Familiarity with large-scale design systems.
