Our products already have a strong foundation, and we are continuing to grow our design maturity. We are now establishing UX as a core pillar of the company and seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape both our products and our design culture.
This is a role for a designer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and wants to make a lasting impact. You will not only refine screens but also drive user-centered initiatives from research through delivery, aligning teams and solving complex product challenges across a wide range of educational needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead user research in collaboration with product managers and the UX team to uncover insights that inform design strategy.
- Design intuitive, inclusive, and age-appropriate experiences for learners and educators across our K–12 platforms.
- Apply pedagogical principles and accessibility best practices to improve usability and engagement.
- Contribute to the evolution of our multi-brand design system in Figma, working closely with engineers.
- Facilitate workshops and design critiques to align teams on objectives and outcomes.
- Produce high-fidelity prototypes and user flows for internal reviews and user testing.
- Take ownership of major product areas, from problem discovery to iterative delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional product design experience, ideally in EdTech or a mission-driven company.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your design process, from research to measurable results.
- Experience leading or co-leading research and translating insights into design solutions.
- Proven ability to take ownership of product experiences and show their business or learning impact.
- Proficiency in Figma, with experience developing and maintaining design systems across multiple teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to handle cross-functional feedback.
- Familiarity with inclusive design and accessibility standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for children or teenagers (ages 4–18), particularly in education or learning tools.
- Ability to facilitate workshops for alignment and creative problem-solving.
- Experience with motion design or advanced visual design for engagement.

Our hiring process is designed to be transparent and respectful of your time. Candidates can expect the following steps:
- Application and resume review.
- Online product design knowledge assessment (scenario-based).
- Portfolio review.
- Behavioral interview with our HR team.
- Take-home design task (approximately 45 minutes).

We provide constructive feedback at every stage and aim to make the process as straightforward as possible.
How We Work
We value designers who challenge assumptions, bring clarity to ambiguity, and structure complexity. You should be comfortable working remotely, proactively, and independently while keeping the needs of learners and families at the center of your work.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected starting salary is between €60,000 and €85,000, depending on experience and location. Compensation is transparent and adjusted according to labor costs in your region. During the offer stage, we will outline the exact terms, whether employed in Germany or as a freelancer elsewhere.
