Miaplaza creates engaging online learning experiences that help students thrive from kindergarten through high school. Our platforms — including Miacademy, Always Icecream, Clever Dragons, and MiaPrep — are used by families around the world to make education more personalized, inclusive, and effective.
We’re now expanding our team and design culture, building UX as a key pillar of our company. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll help shape the next generation of online education tools while driving user-centered thinking across the organization.
The Role
As part of our growing UX team, you’ll report to the Head of UX and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers. You’ll own major product areas — from early research to delivery — creating meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences that empower students and educators alike.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and conduct user research with your team and product manager to uncover insights that guide product decisions
- Design intuitive, inclusive, and engaging experiences for learners and teachers (K–12)
- Apply educational psychology and accessibility principles to improve usability and engagement
- Help grow and refine our multi-brand design system in Figma in collaboration with engineers
- Facilitate workshops, design critiques, and cross-functional sessions to align teams
- Develop prototypes and user flows for testing and iteration
- Take ownership of end-to-end design for key product areas
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in product design, ideally in EdTech or mission-driven companies
- A portfolio showcasing your design process, from research to impact
- Experience leading or co-leading user research and turning insights into actionable design
- Proven ability to own product areas and demonstrate measurable impact
- Strong proficiency in Figma and experience working with design systems
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and feedback-handling skills
- Knowledge of inclusive design and accessibility best practices
Bonus Points
- Experience designing for children or teens (ages 4–18)
- Skilled at facilitating workshops for creative problem-solving
- Familiarity with motion or visual design to enhance engagement

How We Work
We’re a fully remote, collaborative team that values structure, curiosity, and empathy. Our designers question assumptions, bring clarity to complexity, and create meaningful value for learners and families. You’ll have the freedom to work proactively while being part of a mission-driven, supportive environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary between €60,000 – €85,000, adjusted for experience and region
- Transparent pay philosophy and individualized offer details at the final stage
- Option to work as a full-time employee in Germany or freelancer elsewhere in Europe
- Remote-first culture, flexible schedule, and supportive team
