Gusto — the people platform helping 400,000+ small businesses — is hiring a Senior Staff Product Designer to lead UX strategy for Gusto Pro, a tool supporting accountants and their small business clients.
In this role, you will:
- Own UX vision and product design strategy for a Gusto Pro domain
- Co-lead roadmap planning and OKRs with product and engineering leads
- Design intuitive solutions in a complex space (payroll, HR, accounting)
- Advocate for quality, usability, and customer-first decisions
- Contribute to Gusto’s design leadership community
You bring:
- 8+ years in product design, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Experience designing for complex domains (Finance, Payroll, etc.)
- A track record of leading through influence and setting product direction
- Strong collaboration and communication with executive stakeholders
- Curiosity or experience designing for AI-powered products

- Base salary: $174K–$216K (or up to $254K in SF/NY/Seattle)
