Design for Impact in Biomedical Research
Flywheel is transforming how life sciences and clinical institutions manage biomedical data. As our next Senior UX Designer, you’ll shape intuitive, user-centered experiences that power groundbreaking scientific work.
You’ll lead UX design across cross-functional teams—turning complex technical workflows into clean, accessible interfaces. If you’re curious, collaborative, and passionate about simplifying complexity through thoughtful design, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the full UX process: from discovery and ideation to prototyping and user testing
- Translate complex technical and data-heavy concepts into simple, effective designs
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers
- Design interfaces that are accessible, consistent, and aligned with Flywheel’s design system
- Conduct user research and usability testing to guide decisions
- Contribute to and evolve our design system and component libraries
- Champion a collaborative, feedback-driven design culture
You’re a Great Fit If You Have
- 5+ years of experience in UX or product design
- A strong portfolio showing work on complex user flows or technical products
- Advanced Figma skills and comfort working with design systems
- A strong grasp of UX principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working closely with engineers
- A proactive mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred
- Interest or background in med-tech or data-driven products
- Experience simplifying scientific or technical workflows
- Startup or high-growth company experience
