The Role
Tala is hiring a Senior UX Researcher to lead user research efforts in India. You'll design and execute research studies that directly influence product strategy and help build financial tools tailored to underserved users.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end research projects from planning to insights delivery
- Design and execute mixed-method studies (interviews, surveys, usability tests, etc.)
- Deliver clear, actionable insights that shape product decisions
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams
- Develop a deep understanding of the local market and user needs
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in applied UX research
- Degree in HCI, social sciences, analytics, communication, or related fields
- Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Able to create practical research outputs: reports, journey maps, personas, etc.
- Strong collaboration and project management skills
- Bonus: Experience in fintech, digital banking, or credit products
