Senior UX/UI Designer

Own the design of a fintech product from research to final UI

Tangible is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to become the primary designer behind its financial products.

The company operates in private markets, building technology that helps provide liquidity across areas such as private equity and real estate. Its products include a digital auction platform as well as custom marketplaces created for financial institutions.

For the designer joining the team, that means working with financial workflows that can be inherently complicated and finding ways to make them feel clear, efficient, and approachable.

What you'll be working on

This isn't a role where you'll receive finished requirements and simply turn them into screens. You'll have responsibility across the complete design process, from understanding the problem through to the details of the final interface.

Your work will include:

• Researching user needs and mapping customer journeys.
• Exploring ideas through flows, wireframes, and prototypes before committing to a solution.
• Designing polished interfaces for Tangible's financial products.
• Working directly with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into understandable experiences.
• Maintaining and expanding the existing design system as the platform grows.
• Thinking through interaction details with engineers and helping ensure the implemented experience matches the original design intent.
• Applying accessibility principles, including WCAG considerations.
• Presenting your work and explaining the reasoning behind important design decisions.

You'll have considerable autonomy over both your work and how you approach design problems.

AI is part of the design workflow

Tangible also expects its designer to be comfortable experimenting with AI as part of everyday design work.

That could mean using tools such as Claude to explore problems, accelerate iterations, challenge an initial direction, or investigate alternative solutions.

They're not looking for AI to replace the design process—the expectation is that you'll know where these tools can genuinely make that process faster or more effective.

What Tangible is looking for

You'll need 5+ years of UX/UI Design experience, ideally gained within fintech, banking, enterprise SaaS, or another environment involving complex digital products.

Your portfolio will be especially important. Tangible wants to see both sides of your work: how you solve UX problems and the quality of the interface you ultimately ship.

A strong candidate will also bring:

• Advanced Figma skills.
• Experience creating and working with design systems and component libraries.
• Strong interaction and user-centered design fundamentals.
• The ability to simplify complicated workflows and information.
• Experience incorporating generative AI tools into a professional design process.
• Confidence presenting work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to work independently and manage priorities without constant direction.
• Strong communication skills in a distributed environment.

Previous experience working remotely is an advantage.

A role with genuine design ownership

One of the more interesting aspects of this position is that you'll be Tangible's primary designer.

That brings more responsibility than joining a large established design department, but it also means having much more influence over how the product works, how its design system develops, and what the overall experience becomes.

For a senior designer who enjoys fintech, complex UX, strong UI craft, and autonomy, this could be a particularly interesting opportunity.
