This job is curated by UX Remote Talent from external sources. We are not affiliated with the employer.

Miscreants is a global digital marketing and design agency specializing in the cybersecurity industry. Our team includes former security analysts, strategists, designers, and marketers who collaborate to create high-impact brand and digital experiences. We’re fully remote, with team members based across the United States and Europe, and we believe in sourcing great talent to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Website Designer who can create websites that are both visually compelling and highly functional. This role is ideal for a designer who’s comfortable taking ownership of complex projects and collaborating closely with both clients and internal teams.

You’ll work with our Creative Director to design and deliver outstanding web experiences for cybersecurity and technology clients. While this is a remote position, we prefer candidates located in US East Coast or UK time zones to ensure smoother collaboration.

Responsibilities

Web Design

  • Design responsive, engaging websites that communicate complex cybersecurity and technology concepts clearly.
  • Translate wireframes and information architecture into thoughtful layouts that guide users effectively through content.
  • Create website designs and templates in Figma, focusing on usability, conversion, and strong visual hierarchy.
  • Build design systems and component libraries for consistency across web projects.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and correctly implemented.
  • Design micro-interactions and animations, providing guidance for implementation.
  • Occasionally create wireframes, user flow diagrams, and brand-related materials such as infographics or marketing assets.
  • Collaborate with the brand and marketing teams to translate brand positioning into a compelling website story.

Client Interaction & Strategy

  • Partner with the Creative Director on creative direction, strategy, and execution.
  • Lead client presentations, confidently explaining design rationale and creative decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliability.
  • Manage revisions and feedback while maintaining high design standards and meeting project timelines.
  • Contribute to creative strategy sessions and support project planning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Creative confidence: You can handle challenging design projects independently and communicate your ideas clearly.
  • Strong visual design skills: You understand how design influences perception and business outcomes, creating cohesive and impactful visual systems.
  • Expertise in web design: You balance aesthetics with functionality, applying responsive and UX design principles effectively.
  • Technical understanding: You don’t need to code, but you understand the constraints and opportunities of web technologies.
  • Agency experience: You’re comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-project environment and can present confidently to clients.
  • Industry adaptability: Experience in cybersecurity, B2B, or technology-related fields is a plus, but not required. You can quickly learn and translate technical ideas into engaging visuals.

Required tools:

  • Proficiency in Figma for design systems, wireframing, and high-fidelity design.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Solid understanding of responsive and user-centered design best practices.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits based on location and experience.
  • Creative leadership opportunities to take on strategic responsibilities and influence our creative direction.
  • Flexibility: Unlimited paid time off and flexible working hours.
  • Remote-first culture: Work from anywhere; our team is fully distributed and plans to stay that way.
  • Meaningful, challenging work: Collaborate with innovative cybersecurity and AI companies on complex design problems.
  • Collaborative environment: Work alongside experienced creative and technical professionals.
  • Career growth: We’re growing quickly and looking for designers who want to grow with us.
