A leading tech company is hiring a Staff Researcher to drive product and strategic innovation for a new AI-driven knowledge platform. In this role, you'll shape long-term vision, lead large-scale research initiatives, and influence product and organizational decisions that impact how users discover and work with information.
This is a remote position open to candidates based in Canada.
What You’ll Do
- Lead multi-phase research programs that uncover new opportunities and inform product strategy
- Collaborate with design, product, engineering, and marketing to align user insights with business goals
- Use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to guide product decisions from early discovery to launch
- Help define the research roadmap and contribute to the broader strategic direction of the product
- Create compelling research narratives to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
- Mentor other researchers and help evolve research practices across the organization
- Represent the research team externally and help attract top research talent
What They’re Looking For
- 10+ years in UX research, ideally within complex digital products or enterprise software
- Strong experience in generative, evaluative, and longitudinal research across the full product lifecycle
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, early-stage environments and help shape product vision
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and storytelling skills
- Experience influencing strategy at both team and leadership levels
- Proven track record of mentoring peers and elevating research standards
- Comfortable navigating fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related discipline
- Background in AI, SaaS platforms, knowledge management, or similar domains
- Familiarity with innovative or emerging research practices
- Experience building or scaling research functions within high-growth organizations
Compensation (Canada-based role)
Salary range: $166,600–$225,400 CAD
(Exact compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location within Canada.)
