Role Overview

We are hiring a Staff Product Designer to join the team responsible for Webflow’s core designer. In this role, you will define workflows, interactions, and frameworks that enable users to design and build scalable web experiences. You will lead discovery, research, and ideation, while working closely with engineering and product management to plan and deliver new product features.

You will report to the Design & Build Product Design Manager.

Compensation

This role offers competitive compensation aligned with geographic labor markets. Base pay will depend on the candidate’s location, experience, and qualifications.

United States (USD)

  • Zone A: $175,800 – $247,700
  • Zone B: $164,500 – $232,200
  • Zone C: $154,200 – $217,600

Canada (CAD, ON & BC)

  • $199,300 – $281,100

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end customer experiences informed by research and data.
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to explore complex problem spaces and propose solutions.
  • Conduct customer research to understand user needs and pain points.
  • Collaborate with teams to address technical and UX dependencies.
  • Deliver clear design specifications and high-quality work for implementation.
  • Document and communicate design decisions effectively across teams.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience designing within complex product environments, ideally involving systems or creation tools for web development/design.
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to apply customer insights in design work.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering features with a high level of craft.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to adapt for different audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Openness to feedback and iterative improvement.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies, including AI.

Preferred

  • Experience with creation tooling or platforms used by professional designers and developers.
  • Strong track record of system-level design contributions.
