In this position, you’ll collaborate across design, engineering, research, and product teams to bring user-centered, privacy-first, and innovative AI experiences to life. Your work will directly influence how millions of people around the world interact with the web.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll balance creative exploration with scalable design solutions. You’ll design at the intersection of usability, performance, and AI innovation—building tools that empower users while reflecting Mozilla’s long-standing mission to keep the internet open and human-first.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead design efforts for new AI-powered features within Firefox on desktop.
  • Develop concepts from sketches and prototypes through to polished live experiences.
  • Merge familiar browsing patterns with new AI interactions that feel seamless and intuitive.
  • Partner closely with engineers, PMs, researchers, and content designers to deliver thoughtful solutions.
  • Prioritize privacy, accessibility, and trust in all your design decisions.
  • Expand and evolve Firefox’s design systems to maintain consistency across the product.
  • Translate complex workflows into elegant, user-friendly interfaces.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years in product/UX design, ideally with complex or multi-step workflows.
  • Experience designing AI features in large-scale consumer products.
  • Knowledge of ethical AI practices and privacy-focused design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality UI and innovative interaction design.
  • Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional decisions.
  • A collaborative, curious, and low-ego approach to design.
  • Familiarity with design systems and tools such as Jira.
  • Enthusiasm for open-source technology and mission-driven products.

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus plans.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Employer retirement contributions with immediate vesting.
  • Wellness initiatives, including quarterly company-wide days off.
  • Paid parental leave and generous time off (including your birthday).
  • Home office and professional development stipends.
  • Employee referral program and other regional benefits.
