We’re the studio behind Poppy Playtime — one of the hottest indie horror games of the past few years. With over 100 billion YouTube views tied to our IP, we’re growing fast and building something ambitious for our next release.
We're looking for a Technical UI Designer who’s experienced with Unreal Engine and Rive, and excited to work at the intersection of design, animation, and engineering.
In this role, you’ll:
- Integrate Rive-based UI animations into Unreal Engine using UMG and Blueprints
- Build and maintain responsive UI systems like HUDs, menus, and in-world widgets
- Collaborate with designers, animators, and gameplay engineers to create polished, performant interfaces
- Own the pipeline for animated UI logic, input handling, and state transitions
- Troubleshoot and resolve sync issues, logic bugs, and performance bottlenecks
We’re especially interested in designers who:
- Have strong hands-on experience with Rive (including interactive state machines and multiple animation tracks)
- Are confident working in UMG, Blueprints, and Enhanced Input
- Know how to optimize UI systems for memory, tick rate, and performance
- Love making complex UI interactions feel seamless and intuitive
Bonus points if you’ve worked in multiplayer or retro/pixel-art UI, or if you’ve extended Rive runtimes before.
You’ll report to our Game Director and collaborate daily with the UI, animation, and engineering teams.
If you’re the kind of person who makes things work and makes them beautiful, and you’re excited to ship something players will remember — we’d love to hear from you.
