Digital Extremes, the studio behind Warframe, is looking for an experienced UI Artist to help design and enhance the game's user interface. This position is ideal for someone with strong visual design skills, a solid understanding of UX principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and polish UI elements that align with the game’s visual identity
- Collaborate with UI Art Leads, designers, and developers
- Work within technical constraints to deliver visually consistent and user-friendly interfaces
- Contribute to evolving and defining new interface styles where needed
- Provide clear, actionable feedback during the development process
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally in game development
- A portfolio demonstrating solid screen layout, iconography, and UI/UX fundamentals
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira, Basecamp, and version control systems
- Strong understanding of design principles including layout, color, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for video games and user experience
Nice to Have
- Experience playing Warframe
- Familiarity with Lua scripting, Flash animation techniques, or game engines
- Skills in motion design (e.g., After Effects) or 3D software like Blender
- Experience creating effects and materials for UI
