About NineTwoThree Studio
NineTwoThree is a product design and engineering studio building innovative, AI-driven digital products. Over the last 11 years, we’ve launched 14 internal startups and built 60+ client apps that have collectively generated over $1B in revenue.

Recognized by Inc. Magazine and the Boston Business Journal as one of the fastest-growing companies in America, we’re passionate about crafting digital experiences that are both clever and impactful.

The Role
We’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our fully remote design team. You’ll lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile products across a wide range of industries — from early research to pixel-perfect UIs.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex problems, and is passionate about building beautiful, usable digital products.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead UI/UX design for AI-powered platforms, mobile apps, and responsive web apps
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity UIs, and interactive prototypes in Figma
  • Maintain clean, scalable design systems and documentation
  • Conduct competitive analysis and usability testing to validate ideas
  • Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders across projects
  • Ensure high-quality design handoff with detailed specs and edge case coverage
  • Use AI tools to streamline the design process and improve efficiency
  • Present and defend design decisions with clarity and confidence
  • Contribute to the studio’s design culture and mentor fellow designers

You’ll Thrive Here If You

  • Enjoy working on non-trivial apps with complex UX challenges
  • Communicate clearly in writing and design reviews
  • Can own a full design cycle from brief to developer handoff
  • Are comfortable receiving and applying feedback from multiple roles
  • Show initiative and act proactively in your projects

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, visual polish, and shipped products
  • Expert in Figma: components, auto-layout, team libraries, prototyping
  • Fluent in user-centered design, responsive principles, and interaction design
  • Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones
  • Experience designing mobile apps and web platforms (bonus for AI-driven products)
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Knowledge of Apple and Google design guidelines
  • Strong foundations in typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with complex data-heavy UIs
  • Motion design or illustration skills
  • Brand or marketing design experience

Benefits

  • 100% remote team — work from anywhere
  • 20 paid vacation days/year (25 after 3 years)
  • Paid sick leave and public holidays
  • Flexible hours and autonomy
  • Well-being and personal development budget
  • Maternity/paternity leave
  • Reimbursement for courses/certifications (up to 100%)
  • Provided hardware based on project needs
