Role Overview

Design UI/UX for a new mobile narrative game within their Narrative studio. Collaborate closely with game design, art, and engineering teams to craft smooth player experiences, from wireframes to polished UI assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for the game experience
  • Develop and maintain UI style guides and UX documentation ensuring consistency
  • Design polished UI assets (icons, buttons, menus, HUDs) aligned with game art direction
  • Deliver UI design for narrative gameplay, puzzle interactions, progression, and monetization systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate goals into intuitive UI/UX solutions
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate based on feedback, usability testing, and player insights
  • Ensure UI scalability and responsiveness across devices and screen sizes
  • Research market and competitor trends to inform UI/UX design decisions

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years designing UI/UX for mobile games
  • Solid understanding of mobile user-centered design principles
  • Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping tools like Figma
  • Strong UI art skills: polished game-ready visual assets (icons, buttons, menus, HUDs)
  • Strong foundation in typography, layout, color theory, information hierarchy
  • Experience with UI visual effects, animations, transitions for enhanced feedback
  • Proficiency with Unity, including UI asset integration and awareness of engine constraints
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams
  • Passion for narrative or puzzle gameplay and creating intuitive player experiences
  • Comfortable working iteratively with evolving design goals

Nice to Have

  • Experience owning UI visual style and asset production
  • Shipped a new mobile title from concept to live
  • Worked on narrative-driven or puzzle adventure games
  • Familiarity with licensed IP and brand guidelines
