About the Role
We’re looking for a freelance UX Designer to support ongoing product design efforts across our platform. This is a part-time, remote role (U.S.-based only) for up to 20 hours per week. You’ll collaborate with product and engineering teams to design intuitive, user-friendly experiences for both web and mobile. Your focus will be on optimizing critical flows like onboarding, account creation, and investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve user flows across the platform, with a focus on onboarding, account creation, and checkout/payment experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to create wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys.
- Leverage user data and insights to guide design decisions and validate ideas through testing.
- Conduct A/B tests to optimize conversion rates and report monthly on UX performance improvements.
- Iterate quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States.
- 3+ years of UX design experience, ideally within fintech or e-commerce environments.
- Experience designing purchase flows, payment experiences, or financial tools is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of UX best practices, user flow optimization, and responsive design.
- Skilled in modern UX tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Data-driven mindset with experience applying insights from user behavior and testing.
