Fuel Cycle is hiring a Product Designer to join their India-based remote team. In this full-time contract role, you’ll be designing intuitive and impactful experiences across their core product—the Research Engine—including mobile and new UX research features. The position runs for 6 months with the potential to extend.
Responsibilities
Design & Research
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI
- Define intuitive navigation and interaction models
Testing & Iteration
- Conduct usability testing and analyze insights
- Continuously improve designs based on feedback and performance data
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ship user-centered solutions
Accessibility & Innovation
- Apply accessibility principles (WCAG standards)
- Stay updated on modern UX tools, methods, and trends
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design
- Strong portfolio of user-centered projects
- Advanced Figma skills (especially with design systems and prototyping)
- Experience with usability testing and user research
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent (preferred)
Contract Details
- Type: Independent contractor
- Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)
- Remote: Must be based in India
- Monthly compensation paid in INR (gross, before tax)
- Candidates are responsible for handling tax filings, GST registration, etc.
- No employment benefits (health insurance, PTO, etc.)
