UX Designer

Methods is hiring a UX Designer to help shape intuitive, inclusive digital services—primarily for the public sector. This is a remote-first position (UK-based), with occasional travel when needed. You’ll work on impactful government and private sector projects that put users at the heart of design.

In this role, you'll:

• Design accessible, responsive user experiences that align with user needs and client objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, prototype, and test design ideas
• Apply and advocate for GDS/GOV.UK service design standards where appropriate
• Create user journey maps, wireframes, and clickable prototypes
• Support the design community by sharing knowledge and design practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement across design and research methods

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in UX or interaction design
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Miro, Notion, and GitHub
• Comfortable working in agile environments
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and inclusive design
• Familiarity with GDS service standards is a plus
