This job is curated by UX Remote Talent from external sources. We are not affiliated with the employer.

Viget is an independent digital agency that’s been designing, branding, and building digital platforms since 1999. Our team thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and meaningful work. We balance remote flexibility with in-person connection through four U.S.-based offices, regular meetups, and company retreats.

At Viget, UX Researchers uncover insights that shape better digital products and experiences. By blending qualitative and quantitative methods, they help project teams and clients make informed, user-centered decisions.

The Role

As a UX Researcher, you’ll design and lead studies that reveal how people think, feel, and behave when interacting with digital products. You’ll collaborate with product designers, strategists, and developers to ensure research directly influences creative work.

This position is ideal for someone who values both rigor and agility, enjoys mixed-methods research, and wants to contribute to multidisciplinary projects.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with clients and internal teams to define research goals and questions
  • Plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and field studies
  • Analyze behavioral and clickstream data, using tools such as R or Python when needed
  • Work on research across all stages: from early product discovery to solution validation
  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights that guide design and strategy
  • Present research outcomes in a clear, compelling way
  • Support and collaborate with teammates across design, strategy, and development
  • Balance speed with quality to stay aligned with project budgets and timelines

A typical week might include

  • Leading discovery interviews with small business owners
  • Analyzing analytics data from an e-commerce platform
  • Collaborating with designers to refine product recommendations
  • Writing up insights and contributing to Viget’s knowledge-sharing culture

What we’re looking for

  • A portfolio showcasing your approach to UX research
  • Relevant education, certification, or professional experience in UX research
  • Someone mid-level (not entry, not senior) with projects similar to Viget’s scope
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with clients and teams

What makes someone a good fit at Viget

  • Lives our core values: integrity, collaboration, creativity, curiosity, and strong work ethic
  • Enjoys mentorship and continuous learning
  • Communicates clearly—both in writing and in conversation
  • Believes in diversity, equity, and inclusion as fundamental to strong teams

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000–$100,000 (mid-level) or $90,000–$120,000 (senior-level) depending on experience
  • Spot performance bonuses and referral incentives
  • 401(k) with 4% company match
  • 100% employer-paid health and dental insurance for employees and their families
  • PTO: 15 days (increasing to 20 after 2 years), 9 holidays, plus 2 community service days annually
  • Professional development budget: up to $2,000 per year
  • Wellness and connectivity stipends (for gyms, apps, phone/internet)
