Terra, a fast-moving digital marketing and creative agency, is looking for a UX/UI Design Lead to collaborate on multiple web projects. This is a freelance remote role for a designer who combines strategic thinking with hands-on design excellence — someone who thrives on crafting engaging, high-performing digital experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Lead UX/UI design across multiple website projects, from wireframes to final visuals
- Collaborate with creative directors, PMs, developers, and designers to align business goals with user needs
- Develop responsive, accessible, and scalable web interfaces
- Build and maintain a consistent UI design system that follows brand and usability standards
- Create interactive prototypes, user flows, and visual assets (icons, illustrations, etc.)
- Ensure smooth implementation by understanding front-end principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Optimize designs for performance, accessibility (WCAG AA), and cross-device consistency
- Manage your schedule independently while reporting progress to the internal project manager
Who You Are
- Experienced in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Solid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility
- Detail-oriented with a balance between aesthetics and usability
- Strong communicator — able to explain design decisions clearly
- Comfortable multitasking and meeting deadlines
- Familiar with HTML5 and CSS3; bonus points for JavaScript knowledge
- Open to learning and staying updated on the latest web and UX trends
